Welcome to the
Friends of Headley Lane Park!

Enchanted Nature PlayDay August 2014
The last of our five wonderful playdays came to a gentle end with popcorn making on an open fire and crafts such as miniature gardens and recycled flowers being made.  The rain tried to spoil the fun but the sun came through in the end!

Circus Playday August 2014
Headley Park came alive with a brilliant stilt walking-hula hooping-fire juggling circus skills teacher and the children had brilliant fun learning new things.  Thanks to Quartet Community fund Sports Relief community cash we had a Ping! table tennis table plus some coaching.

Wild West Playday July 2014
A very hot day saw lots of fun with a water pistol shoot out and teepee making.  £217 was raised towards our funds.

Pirate Playday May 2014
Mud flags, coin sawing and an active assault course were just some of the highlights from our May PlayDay and a brilliant £264 was raised.

Easter Play Day 2014
The sun shone and we had our largest turn out ever of families coming to enjoy the day.  The Play Rangers provided wonderful activities for the children and we held some fun competitions and a raffle.  The day was so successful we sold out of drinks early on and sent for more!
A brilliant £578 was raised and the community was brought together to share a fun day.

Picnic in the Park August 2013
We had perfect weather for our Picnic in the Park on Friday 16th August and it was enjoyed by all.  We raised £255 for our park improvements and we were supported by lots of people from the community.
Our special VIP was the Deputy Lord Mayor who presented the prizes for the fancy dress competition and enjoyed himself handing out lollipops to all the children.
We are very grateful for all the helpers and t
hose who donated raffle prizes or monetary donations.

Junk Modelling Competition August 2013
Another successful event and the weather was glorious!  The children had lots of fun making their creations and it was a hard job judging as the standard was so high.
£109 was raised from our wonderful supporters so thank you everyone who came and made it such a great event.

Halloween Fun!
The weather stayed dry and lots of people braved the cold to come and have some spooky fun at our latest event.  There were some wonderful carved pumpkins to judge, a storytelling time and lots of crafts and games to enjoy.  The star of the show was an enormous pumpkin grown in Headley Park Allotments. The park was transformed with halloween decorations and the event was followed by a magical lantern walk and the children enjoyed creating a Headley Park version of "in the dark, dark park".
A wonderful £320 was raised so thank you to everyone who helped in any way, we also made it into the Bristol Post!
